Our Year 12 ISK (Industrial Technology Skills) students led by Mr Packer had recently been tasked with completing a photo/media wall for use at our whole school events. Using only pieces found in the storage space or donations recently gifted to the school, the class went to work and created a most impressive final piece.
The media wall was used at our recent Leadership Induction ceremony, with many positive comments made by teachers, students and parents at the event. Younger students in the Cert I in Construction were also on hand to assist with the final installation, and were encouraged by the workmanship of the finished product.
Mr Glen Packer comes to us as a recent graduate from the Turn to Teaching Intership Program, a pathway providing a supported pathway into teaching for people with an undergraduate teaching degree, to help meet the demand for teachers in high demand locations or subject areas.
Congratulations to Mr Packer and all students involved in the final masterpiece.
